Terrorists fired eight mortar shells and three rockets from Gaza on Friday night and Saturday morning.  Five of the mortar shells were fired at IDF soldiers operating near the Kerem Shalom crossing.  The shells landed within Gaza, and no soldiers were injured.

Three mortar shells and three rockets were fired at Israeli communities.  One rocket landed near Sderot, and two landed near kibbutzim (cooperative communities) in the Gaza belt.  No injuries were reported.
