(IsraelNN.com) Temperatures will fall sharply from Friday through Tuesday, breaking the intense heat wave that sent temperatures soaring to the upper 30s and low 40s (95-108 F). Widespread showers may fall over the next two days.

Friday night will be pleasant, with temperatures dropping into the upper teens (60s F) in most areas and reaching no higher than 30 (86 F) on the Sabbath, except in the southern Negev and Dead Sea areas. On Sunday and Monday nights, the thermometer will dive to near 10 degrees (50 F) in Jerusalem, 17 (63 F) in Tel Aviv, 14 (57) in the southern Hevron Hills and northern Negev and a chilly 4 degrees (39 F) on the Hermon.
