MK Zev Elkin (Kadima) condemned Prime Minister Ehud Olmert on the heels of Wednesday's report that Olmert has agreed to a full Israeli withdrawal from the Golan Heights, and said Olmert's "trial balloons" to assess Israeli and international public opinion about Israel's foreign policy have proven the prime minister lacks support for his controversial plans.
Elkin said both the Knesset and the Kadima Party objected to recent reports that Olmert is willing to divide Jerusalem, and said both bodies would also object to a withdrawal from the Golan Heights. He also slammed Olmert for what he called political "spins."
"You can't make real peace with 'spins,'" said Elkin.
