(IsraelNN.com) Israel will pump one million liters of diesel fuel into Gaza on Wednesday, IDF sources said.  Hamas leaders say they will use the fuel to power Gaza’s only electricity plant, which provides roughly 20 percent of Gaza’s electricity.  They warned that without the fuel, the plant would be forced to shut down, leading to blackouts in some areas.

Israel last delivered fuel to Gaza one week ago.  While Israel has attempted to continue regular shipments of fuel and humanitarian aid to Gaza, IDF officials have been forced to shut down some Gaza crossings due to repeated terrorist attacks.  An attack on the Nahal Oz fuel terminal recently killed two Israeli civilians, and an attack on the Kerem Shalom crossing over the weekend wounded 13 soldiers.
