US Engineer Nabbed on Spying for Israel

(IsraelNN.com) An American Jewish military engineer was arrested Tuesday on charges of espionage in connection with work at a US Army-connected engineering center in New Jersey, announced the US Department of Justice.

Ben-Ami Kadish was charged with passing military secrets to Israel during the period from 1979 to 1985; the information allegedly included sensitive data on nuclear weapons, fighter jets, air defense missiles, weapons systems, and information about modifications on F-15 fighter jets which had been sold to a Middle Eastern nation other than Israel.

According to the court documents, Kadish, a US citizen, was born in Connecticut and allegedly maintained contact with the same Israeli government handler as Jonathan Pollard until March 2008. Pollard is serving a life term on a single charge of spying for Israel, a friendly allied nation.
