A street cat named “Tammy” returned to the home of the Feld family of Gadera on Monday one week after saving 25-year-old Sagit Feld from a poisonous snake.  Sagit, who is pregnant, was feeding Tammy and another stray cat last week when she noticed the snake.  Sagit said the snake was clearly about to bite her when Tammy jumped on it and the two animals began fighting.

Sagit received a cat scratch during the fight and was taken to a local hospital due to the dangers posed to pregnant women by bacteria commonly carried by cats.  She expressed disappointment at the time that she was unable to search for Tammy, who doctors say saved her from a potentially fatal snakebite.  On Monday, she happily reported that the cat had returned safely, and was being pampered by grateful members of the Feld family.
