Temperatures will remain pleasant during the day and cool at night from Friday night through the first day of Passover Saturday night and Sunday, but the rest of the holiday will be very hot. The thermometer Friday, on the Sabbath and on the first day of the holidays, will reach the mid-to-upper 20s (mid-70s-low 80s F) during the day and dip to the mid-teens (upper 50s-low 60s F) at night.
However, a massive heat wave will spread throughout the country on Tuesday, with temperatures peaking on Wednesday at 34 (93 F) in Jerusalem, 36 (97 F) in Tel Aviv, 40 (104 F) in Be'er Sheva and 42 (108 F) in Eilat.
The Kinneret already has begun to decline, earlier than usual, and has lost almost one inch in the last two days. The level is far below than usual for this time of year, and evaporation and water consumption will drop the lake's level by next winter to one of lowest in years.
