Senior Hamas terrorist Mahmoud az-Zahar compared Gaza terrorists to Jewish fighters in the Warsaw ghetto in an article printed Thursday in the Washington Post. Az-Zahar referred to the Warsaw ghetto fighters as “courageous,” and said that Hamas and other terrorist groups were following in their footsteps by murdering Israeli civilians at the Nahal Oz fuel terminal last week.
Az-Zahar accused Israel of waging “a total war” on Gaza. He tempered his praise of Jewish resistance in the Holocaust by saying that Judaism had “corrupted itself in the detour into Zionism, nationalism and apartheid.”
