Report: Slain Soldier’s House Slated for Destruction

A house belonging to slain IDF soldier Manhash al-Baniyat is slated for destruction, according to Haaretz.  Al-Baniyat built the house in preparation for his wedding, which was to take place next month.  The house was built in an illegal village near the Bedouin town of Kseifa.

Al-Baniyat was killed Wednesday, along with two fellow soldiers, in a clash with terrorists near the Gaza security barrier.  He was survived by his parents and 17 siblings and half-siblings.  Many of his brothers and cousins served in the IDF as well.  Some family members expressed frustration on Thursday, saying it was unfair that Al-Baniyat’s house would be destroyed after he showed his loyalty to the state by enlisting in the IDF.
