Giora Eiland, who in the past was the head of the National Security Council and a senior advisor in the Sharon and Olmert governments, wrote Wednesday that it is impossible to implement a permanent agreement with the Palestinian Authority (PA).

In an editorial article in the Hebrew daily Yediot Aharonot, Eiland explained that the best deal the government can offer will not meet Arab demands. He also said an agreement would cause further instability and could bring about a sharp escalation in Arab violence.
