Israel called off the planned resumption of fuel deliveries to Gaza Wednesday following an escalation of terrorist attacks that killed three army soldiers and injured three others. Ten Kassam rockets were fired on the western Negev. Officials explained that the Dor Alon Energy company, which delivers the fuel, raised concerns about the security of its workers.
The fuel, funded by the European Union (EU), is delivered through pipelines and tanker trucks at the Nahal Oz crossing. Shipments were halted last week after terrorists killed two Israeli civilians working at the depot, and Defense Minster Ehud Barak announced the deliveries would be resumed Wednesday.
