      Travelers Jam Ben Gurion Airport

More than 50,000 travelers are expected to flood Ben Gurion Airport Thursday, double the usual number, as the Passover holiday approaches. Tourism officials said that the number of people who will visit Israel is at least the same as the number who plan to leave for destinations abroad.

The primary destinations of Israelis are Turkey, Italy and France with the United States in fourth place. Israelis vacationing within the country, along with a growing number of tourists have raised local hotel occupancy rates to nearly 100 percent.
