The Yisrael Beiteinu party plans to file a motion to bar MK Ahmed Tibi from being able to serve as Deputy Speaker of the Knesset (his current position) during the Passover recess in response to his remarks at a conference in the Qatari capital of Doha.

Tibi charged that Israel discriminates against its Arab citizens and was listed at the conferences as a “Palestinian”, rather than as an Israeli, despite being a Member of Knesset of the State of Israel.

Yisrael Beiteinu Party Chairman Avigdor Lieberman said, “Tibi’s place is in the parliament in Ramallah, not Israel.”
