Pakistan Calls for UN Investigation of Bhutto Killing

(IsraelNN.com) Pakistan’s parliament passed a resolution on Monday calling on the government to allow the United Nations to investigate the assassination of opposition leader and former Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto.  Pakistani President General Pervez Musharraf has objected to the establishment of a UN investigative committee.

Bhutto was killed in December of last year shortly after leaving a political rally in the city of Rawalpindi.  Her 19-year-old son Bilawal was appointed chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party in her stead following the killing.
