Minister for Religious Services, Yitzchak Cohen, announced the transfer of NIS 10 million to pay the salaries of religious council employees, including mikveh attendants, in 40 religious councils nationwide.

"This year, the Feast of Freedom will receive a new meaning for hundreds of balaniyot [female mikveh attendants]," Cohen said. The transfer of funds is intended to make up for salaries that were not paid in full by some of the local councils, Cohen explained.
