Terrorists fighting American army forces in Iraq have killed Major Stuart Adam Wolfer, an observant Jewish officer. He was a native of Miami, Florida and made his home in Idaho. He and another soldier were killed when a rocket hit a Baghdad gymnasium.

Wolfer arrived in Iraq in December and prayed daily with tefillin. He was a pen pal to students in Florida when he was on a tour of duty in Kuwait and was preparing to resume the relationships from Iraq.
