Gas Leak Forces Halt on Traffic in Herzliya
(IsraelNN.com) A large underground gas leak in the industrial area of Herzliya has forced a halt in all traffic and an electricity blackout in the area. Authorities said they do not believe terrorists were behind the leak but that they have not yet located the source.
The leak was discovered around 3:30 a.m., and several people in the area have been evacuated, but officials said the situation is under control. They are pumping out the gas and estimate that electricity and traffic will flow as usual later in the morning.
