(IsraelNN.com) Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni urged the international community to act on behalf of kidnapped IDF soldiers Gilad Shalit, Eldad Regev, and Ehud Goldwasser during a ceremony in honor of a book written by Gilad Shalit.  Shalit wrote a story called “When the Shark and the Fish first met” as a child, and the book was published following his kidnapping.

Livni told foreign ambassadors who attended the ceremony that returning the kidnapped soldiers “is not a political matter, but rather a humanitarian issue.”  She reminded them of the approaching Passover holiday, the holiday of freedom, which it seems the soldiers will spend in captivity.  When she hosts her family for the traditional Passover seder, Livni said, she will leave an extra cup and an empty chair in honor of the missing soldiers.
