(IsraelNN.com) A woman who has accused former President Moshe Katzav of rape submitted a request to Attorney General Menachem Mazuz asking for a meeting with Katzav.  The woman, known to the public only as “Aleph,” asked to be allowed to confront Katzav regarding the charges against him before Mazuz files a formal indictment.

Katzav rejected a plea bargain deal earlier in the week, saying he preferred to go to court and attempt to prove his innocence.  The plea bargain deal did not include any of the accusations made by “Aleph,” and instead included inappropriate behavior and sexual harassment charges involving two other women.  “Aleph” has asked that her accusations be included in the next indictment filed against Katzav.
