United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon condemned that Arab terrorist attack on Nahal Oz Wednesday night in which two Israelis were riddled with bullets. "He is gravely concerned at the prospect of an escalation in violence," Ban's spokesman said. "The United Nations calls for the protection of all civilians in the conflict."
He recognized Israel's right to self-defense but condemned alleged retaliation against civilians after the attack. The IDF killed two of the four terrorists after the attack, but Hamas officials in Gaza claimed that three civilians died.
