"Very scary – I have been in Nahal Oz for many years and I never experienced such a barrage of shelling and shooting," Nahal Oz resident Ofra Hartuv told Ynet Wednesday.
"It was like a war," she recounted. "Shooting and shells from everywhere and no one knowing what is happening. We went out. I ran to my son's house because my granddaughter was alone in the house."
Larry Taranto, another resident, said: "A large number of mortar shells fell in the area, five apparently within kibbutz grounds… We never had something like this here, a very large number of shells falling at the same time."
