IDF officials said Wednesday that an attack in the Nahal Oz region at approximately 3 p.m. was an attempted kidnapping. Two people were killed in the attack. Soldiers managed to hit at least one terrorist.
IDF sources said that a group of three to five terrorists had infiltrated the area under heavy fire. The terrorists returned to Gaza after failing to take soldiers hostage, they said.
