A Bulgarian parliamentary commission reported Tuesday that the country's crime groups and Arabs linked to terrorists groups are helping fund Hizbullah and Islamic Jihad. Previous reports have stated that drug smuggling is one of the major ways for the terrorist organizations to raise money.
Part of the monies accumulated from drugs trafficking are being used to fund terrorist organizations such as Hizbullah and Islamic Jihad, said the report, quoted by Reuters News Agency. Bulgaria is located on one of the main drug trafficking routes between Europe and southwest Asia.
