McDonald's Israel franchise owner Alonyal is being sued in a class action suit for misleading customers about the sodium in its food.

The suit is for 100 million shekels, for damages due to the elevated risk of heart attack in those who eat the fast food, which the plaintiffs say McDonald's markets as "healthy." They allege that the nutritional information listed by the company is misleading and sometimes false.

There are several kosher McDonals in the country - in Mevaseret Zion, near Jerusalem, and Beit Shean, in the north - but most are not kosher.
