Emergency sirens sounded throughout the country at 10 AM, including the citizenry in the third day of the largest emergency drill in Israel's history.
The 90-second siren begins a ten-minute exercise in schools across the country. Private residents are also asked to head to their shelters.
The drill will employ a rising and falling siren, whereas the actual air-raid siren will be a long single siren - as is sounded on Holocaust Rememberance Day and Memorial Day. The Home Front Command will be using its English web site during both the drill and the emergency.
