Citizenry Emergency Drill Begins With Nationwide Sirens
(IsraelNN.com) Emergency sirens sounded throughout the country at 10 AM, including the citizenry in the third day of the largest emergency drill in Israel's history.
The 90-second siren begins a ten-minute exercise in schools across the country. Private residents are also asked to head to their shelters.
The drill will employ a rising and falling siren, whereas the actual air-raid siren will be a long single siren - as is sounded on Holocaust Rememberance Day and Memorial Day. The Home Front Command will be using its English web site during both the drill and the emergency.
