A woman came to the Knesset driveway in her car Sunday and threatened to use a gas canister to blow herself up along with her children. She said her handicapped children needed electric wheelchairs, but government bureaucracy was preventing them from getting them.
During a standoff with police, the road leading to the Knesset was sealed off and at least one children's tour bus that were scheduled to reach the Knesset had to turn back.
The Knesset Director spoke with the woman and convinced her to come up to his office and talk to him.
