(IsraelNN.com) The Tel Aviv District Court ruled Sunday that it could not rule on a request by a group of Sderot families for a tax exemption because it fell outside its area of jurisdiction.

The 41 residents said they did not feel they should have to pay taxes, given the fact that the government has not fulfilled its obligations to protect its citizens equally, and demanded they receive exemptions "until it can be determined that the state is providing us with the same level of security as all citizens of Israel."
