The nation’s local authorities went on “alert” Sunday in the first country-wide Home Front security drill in Israel’s history. This is the first segment of a five-day drill meant to implement and test lessons learned as a result of the 2006 Second Lebanon War.
 
The drill will include simulations of a large-scale multi-missile attack and mass-casualty event in towns and cities across the country, including hospitals, security installations, public offices, schools and other government institutions.
