The yishuim of Gush Katif are being remembered in the town of Mitzpe Hoshaya in the Galilee, which has named several streets in the town after the destroyed towns of Gush Katif. The naming ceremony took place Friday, as the town celebrated the 25h anniversary of its establishment.

Residents of the town voted by a large majority to change street names to reflect the destroyed Gush Katif towns during a vote several months ago, in which they were asked to choose from among 15 categories of names, such as flowers of Israel, mountains, etc. Mitzpe Hoshaya is the first town in the country to adopt the name of Gush Katif towns for their streets.
