National Union-National Religious Party Knesset Member Aryeh Eldad is calling for an investigation of Israeli Arab Knesset Member (United Arab List – Ta'al) Ahmed Tibi in the wake of the the Arab MK's stop in Lebanon Wednesday night.
"In Israel's point of view, one who disregards the law and visits an enemy country should himself be counted as an enemy of Israel," Eldad said Thursday morning. "The behavior patterns of the Arab MKs who take the law into their own hands and decide who is an enemy country and who is not, is intolerable."
A former Israeli Arab MK fled the country when it became clear he would be indicted on charges of treason and aiding the enemy during wartime; the Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) now believes that Azmi Bishara, accused of helping Hizbullah, is intent on recruiting agents among Israeli Arabs for the Lebanese terrorist group.
