Engineers have discovered cracks in the "Bridge of Strings" at the western entrance to the capital, and damage may delay the scheduled opening ceremony of the bridge in May. The cost of the towering project, which is designed to support the light rail system under construction, soared even before the defects were detected.
One engineer told Army Radio that the cracks are an enormous flaw, but the company that heads the building project claimed that the bridge will adhere to all safety standards and will be opened on schedule.
