Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that when the Palestinian Authority begins to fight terrorism, he will expel Jews from certain regions.
--Fatah’s al-Aqsa Brigades took responsibility for a suicide bombing attack near Kedumim. The suicide bomber was dressed as a Jew, wearing a kippa (yarmulke) and was given a ride by the unsuspecting occupants of the Israeli vehicle. He then blew himself up inside the car, killing the passengers.
--Shas leader MK Eli Yishai has begun discussing basic guidelines in preparation to enter into coalition talks, possibly leading to Shas's entry into the Kadima-led government. Shas has indicated the party remains opposed to additional land surrenders throughout Judea and Samaria, and is focusing on socio-economic issues, including monthly child allowance payments and assistance to the elderly population.
