A Syrian missile attack would kill 200 people and wound 2,800 others, according to a document cited by Strategypage.com. If the missiles were to contain chemical warheads, the number of casualties could soar to 16,000 and leave 200,000 Israelis homeless.
The site said the document assumes Iran would fire some of its own missiles with conventional warheads. Syria's underground storage and launch facilities contain missiles with a range that could reach southern Israel and are meant to hit airports as well as population centers.
