An Arab terrorist arrested Tuesday night near Tulkarm has been identified by the IDF as being behind the 2002 Netanya Park Hotel suicide bombing on Passover, when 30 Israelis were killed and more than 140 injured. Tulkarm is located near the separation barrier and is located less than 15 miles from Netanya. Army soldiers arrested 50-year-old Omar Jabar and his deputy, Hani Barabra, according to Palestinian Authority (PA) sources.
Jabar, a member of Hamas, recruited the contact that dispatched the suicide bomber, introducing him to the head of the Hamas in Tulkarm at the time, Abed Sayad. While hiding in Tulkarm area villages, the terrorist used his own family members to transfer encrypted messages to Hamas terror operatives.
