Hizbullah terrorist leader Hassan Nasrallah is a "dead man [who] is still alive," according to an editorial in the Israeli Hebrew daily Yediot Aharonot. It reminded readers that intelligence officials have asserted that the terrorist organization and political party has a larger arsenal of rockets than it did before the Second Lebanon War.

In other editorials, Maariv praised the 29-year-old Egyptian-Israeli peace treaty for holding its own despite several disappointments. The Makor Rishon-HaTzofeh newspaper's editorial criticized IDF manpower director Major General Elazar Stern for trying to change the military program of Hesder yeshiva students. Stern wants the religious boys to serve with female soldiers.
