Israeli soldiers returned to the area of Shechem Saturday night and arrested six wanted terrorists without incident. One revolver was discovered during searches of buildings where the terrorists were hiding.
The United States has been depending on American trained Palestinian Authority (PA) forces recently deployed in Shechem to contain terror, but the IDF has continued to operate in the area to arrest wanted terrorists and eliminate terrorist cells that were planning attacks on Israel. The PA has charged that the presence of army soldiers in Shechem interferes with its police forces' ability to maintain law and order.
