Hizbullah's number two terrorist, Sheikj Naim Kassam, said that his group had “solid witnesses and 100 percent proof that Israel killed [top Hizbullah terrorist] Imad Mughniyeh.” Mughniyeh was killed on February 12 in Damascus when his car blew up. Kassam did not tell interviewers on Iranian TV, to whom he was speaking, what the proof was.

Israeli officials issued a general warning over the weekend, saying that Hizbullah was likely to carry out attacks against Israelis and Jews to mark the 40th day of Mughniyeh's murder. The warning recommended against attending large gatherings of Israelis, and for business people working outside the country to take extra safety precautions.
