Security Forces on Alert Over Mughniyeh Revenge Attacks
At a press conference before his meeting Saturday night with visiting U.S. Vice President Richard Cheney, Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said that besides discussing the ongoing terror against residents of southern Israel by Gaza Arab terrorists, the two will discuss the ongoing threat against the north by Hizbullah terrorists.
Security officials said that Israel had ramped up security in the north in recent days in expectation that Hizbullah will launch a “revenge attack” against Israel over the killing of Hizbullah terror chief Imad Mughniyeh. Saturday marks 40 days since the still unexplained death of Mughniyeh, who was killed when his car blew up in Damascus.
