(IsraelNN.com) The hareidi-religious “Ichud Hatzala” volunteer paramedic organization has asked parents to forbid their children to play with fireworks, a common pastime during the Purim holiday.  The group supported its request with calls from several hareidi-religious rabbis who ruled that fireworks are dangerous and are likely to cause injury or panic.

At least two people have been injured by children using fireworks since the Purim holiday began on Thursday evening.  A man in his 20s suffered leg injuries in Jerusalem, and a four-month-old baby girl was lightly injured in Tel Aviv.
