An Arab man from the city of Rafiah in southern Gaza was killed in a smuggling tunnel collapse on Thursday. The collapse took place in the As-Salam neighborhood of the city.
Smuggling tunnels are common along the border between Gaza and Egypt, and are used to bring weapons, explosives, and other goods into Gaza. The man killed on Thursday was the second to die in a Rafiah tunnels collapse in less than one week.
