McCain Meeting with Livni, Concerned over Kassam Attack

(IsraelNN.com) Republican presidential candidate Senator John McCain is meeting with Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni at this moment after having spoken with President Shimon Peres on Tuesday. He is on a Middle East fact-finding tour and has visited Iran and Jordan. Accompanying Sen. McCain, who virtually has clinched the Republican nomination, are Independent Sen. Joe Lieberman and Sen. Lindsey Graham.
 
Sen. McCain told a Hebrew newspaper that he is "very worried by the missile attacks against Israel" but added he also is concerned about Israel's entering Gaza.

In his meeting with President Peres, "Sen. McCain expressed his concern over Iranian involvement in the region and noted that Iran finances and aids extremist groups, according to a statement from the office of the President."
