Poll: Likud Still Leads, Kadima Gains

The Likud party would win 30 Knesset mandates and Labor would remain at 19 seats if elections were held today, according to a Teleseker poll published in the Hebrew daily Maariv. Kadima would win 15 mandates, slightly more than half its current number but significantly more than in previous polls. The numbers indicate that Kadima would have no chance of forming a coalition unless Israel Is Our Home (Yisrael Beiteinu), headed by Strategic Affairs Minister Avigdor Lieberman, were to join again.

The Pensioners party would not gain enough votes for representation, and the other smaller parties would remain with about the same number of Knesset Members. However, the poll shows that Arcadi Gaydamak's Social Justice party would enter the Knesset with seven mandates.
