The Palestinian Authority allowed two terrorists convicted of murder to leave prison temporarily for fear that Israeli forces planned to enter the prison and arrest them, according to a report from Ynet. PA officials asked the two to return to prison after word of their “escape” reached Israel.
The killers, PA employees who were sentenced to 15 years in prison for murdering young Israeli hikers Achikam Amichai and David Rubin, were spotted wandering the streets of Hevron on Tuesday. Following reports of their escape, the PA allowed an Israeli TV crew to enter the PA prison in Hevron and see that the two were safely in their cells.
