Attorney Dov Weisglass, the architect of the Disengagement and lawyer to the Sharon family, says that Omri Sharon is not behind the steps being taken to request a pardon from President Shimon Peres.
"These moves stem from a protest of the unfair treatment Sharon has received," Weisglass said.
Sharon was jailed after losing an appeal and being convicted of an array of financial crimes and perjury.
