Security cameras at the Old City's Damascus Gate captured the stabbing attack that took place at 9:15 AM Tuesday.

The face of the terrorist was quickly isolated and distributed to police conducting searches in the area. The Damascus Gate is the central Arab open-air market in the area and is usually quite crowded.

The rabbi's murder was prevented by a student who fended off the terrorist.

Jewish residents of the Muslim Quarter - the largest part of the Old City - have been instructed by police following the attack not to walk around without an armed guard.
