Four suspected drug dealers were arrested Thursday night after they allegedly tried to run down a police officer south of Ashdod. The incident is unrelated to a similar event in Mitzpe Ramon last night, in which a policeman was run down and killed by Bedouin thieves.
The four suspects were being chased by police near Sde Uziyah when they allegedly tried to hit the policeman.
They will be brought before a judge in Ashkelon for remand Friday.
