"I support the idea of two states for two nations, in the territory west of the Jordan, but without evicting anyone from his home, be he Jewish or Arab," Nobel laureate Prof. Yisrael Aumann reportedly told news website Ynet Thursday.

"Right now there is no one to talk to, so the solution cannot be implemented at present, and it must be accomplished without driving anyone from his home – neither the Jews nor [driving] the Arabs to Jordan," Aumann is quoted as saying. The solution, he said, must be reached by thinking "outside the box" and by using different solutions from the ones currently being raised in public discourse.

Regarding the Arabs living within Israel's pre-1967 borders, Aumann said: "I treat them with respect, they occupy important and vital sections of the country, some are loyal to the state and some are not. There are many voices of dissatisfaction with the state among them."
