Listeners to Radio Netherlands learned that "Israel has carried out renewed military strikes [on Gaza] after several days of relative calm." It added that there were no casualties from the Israeli attacks, which were not described as counterterrorist operations.
After creating the impression that Israel broke the calm, Radio Netherlands added, "The Israeli operations followed rocket attacks on Wednesday night launched from the Gaza Strip on southern Israel." But it immediately added, "These [rocket attacks] in turn were reprisals for an Israeli operation on Wednesday in which elite troops killed four Palestinian militants in Bethlehem on the West Bank."
It also told listeners that recent IDF operations have killed 130 people, but there was no mention of deaths and injuries to Israeli civilians and soldiers.
