Yamam Killed Terrorists in Bethlehem Restaurant

Arab sources provided details Wednesday of the Special Ops raid in Bethlehem which left four senior terrorists from Islamic Jihad and Fatah dead. The four were reportedly surprised by a Border Police Special Operations Unit (Yamam) squad as they sat in a restaurant.

One of those killed was Muhammad Shehade, Islamic Jihad's commander in the Bethlehem area. Shehade's home was demolished hours after the massacre at Mercaz HaRav Kook yeshiva Thursday but the IDF denies that there was a connection between that attack and a decision to kill him.

Shehade was a wanted fugitive for the past eight years, because of his involvement in suicide bombings that killed many Israelis. IDF sources say he received instructions directly from the Islamic Jihad commander in Syria.
