The Beigel & Biegel company and a Tel Aviv court have agreed on a settlement that will give purchasers 25 percent more crackers free of charge as compensation for failing to inform them of a reduction in the size of packages.
A complaint against the firm showed that it deceived customers by failing to inform them that the sizes of sesame cracker packages had been reduced by 20-25 percent. The value of the settlement is 960,000 shekels ($278,000) covering 337,483 packages.
